Hello plan parents. I’m really thankful for the discussion posts, insights, and overall recommendations within this community. You’ve help me navigate plant parenthood and now my plants, who I refer to as the women in my life, are starting to thrive. Simple things made a tremendous difference like putting plant where they thrive rather than where they may be aesthetically pleasing to me. Troubleshooting issues and being patient and letting my plants immune systems to work instead of being a helicopter plant parent. Thanks to you all. I really appreciate you and I am sharing a pic of the love of my life

I wrote a post, maybe a week ago, about the problems my pepperomia is having, but didn’t get any real answers as to what is going on with it. I went to check it out today, and I think it was worse. I noticed in one spot, there were actually dark bubbles on the front of a leaf. If anybody can DX this for me, I’d sure appreciate it!

Help! I am making my own soil mix. I found a recipe that is 50% Fox Farm Ocean Forest, 25% perlite, and 25% orchid bark. I have everything except the orchid bark. All I found was orchid potting mix, not orchid bark. Where can I buy some? I am located in the US.

I had planned on repotting Goldy in the spring, because she’s pretty unwieldy. However, when I took her to the sink for a bath and drink, it seems her roots are coming out the bottom.
So, I guess she will be getting an extreme haircut and a new pot. Maybe I can get some good variegation back in her with a good prune and a location change. And if not, that’s good too.

I got Dave about a week ish ago. He sits in my window. I repotted him the day I got him since he was in a super small pot. I was wondering if this is ok for his leaves to do this or what I should do about it? He’s a spider plant

Does anyone put a grow light on your snake plant? Wondering if it’ll like it. The rest of my plants love grow lights but didn’t know if it will burn a snake plant.

Any tips/advice for fertilizing plants using a self watering rope? I’m new to fertilizing my house plants, but am going to give it a try per the app’s instructions. The first plant I’m to fertilize is my fiddly fig that is self-watered. It’s fiddly and I’m nervous! Do I add the fertilizer to the self-watering reservoir or top water it? TIA!!

I received these cuttings on Friday from a jade plant and pencil cactus. I’ve let them callous over- what’s the best way to get them to root?

Hello, I’m new here. I just bought this beautiful planter. I am trying to get ideas of what plant to buy that doesn’t need that much light. Any suggestions? TIA

Hi all! Looking for a little inspiration for my trandescantia. I had her on a trellis but she overgrew it and it couldn’t stand her weight 😂 pic 1 is before detangling her. Pic 2 is where we landed in a new pot after she lost some stems in the process. I basically just put all the vines on top of each other so my cat didn’t eat her 🙃 Wondering what creative things other people have done to display their trandescantia?
