Which one of you plants had the biggest glow up? For me, that would be my spider plant! I got this guy as three little spideretts from a friend. Now some years later he's grown to be such a strong man and growing his own little spiders! Show me your plant glow ups in the comments below!

Hey I just thought of something. Do any of you remember a YT channel called Planterina? And if so what happened to her? I hope Amanda is doing okay.

I believe my silver squill was overdue for a new pot. It just finished blooming so I figured this was a good time to do it.

Is it difficult to get all of the soil off roots if switching plants from soil to water?

I follow all the care plans that are scheduled each day and yet all my plants are dying

I just received a Crassula ovata var. It was quite top heavy and couldn’t stand upright. It was in a 4 inch pot. It felt dry on top, but felt quite heavy, like it was full of water or something. I took it out of the pot and it was most definitely dry-very dry. I was unable to look at the inner roots because the “soil” was essentially solid! I wasn’t able to even pick it apart, it was that hard. Don’t how how it was getting any O2, but the plant looks quite healthy to me. I have it soaking in water right now and after about 30 minutes I’ve been able to coax about 1 Tb of organic matter away from it. It feels like all coco core to me with a sparse amount of perlite. No dirt fell out and none fell off when I gently shook it. I plan on putting it in a 6 inch ceramic pot with good drainage and soil like it needs. I won’t need to repot for quite a long time and I have no need to try to keep it the size it is. Pictures are when I was able to get the tiny amount coaxed out. Any advice is welcomed, appreciated and hoped for!

I just got a new Areca/Bamboo Palm and I was wondering; How much water should I give it? Online, it says 0.8 of a cup but I wanted to ask here first before I did anything dumb. (By the way, the plant is 6-7 feet tall and is in a 5 gallon pot) Thank you!

Can I use and oil defuser with just water in it as a humidifier?

Hey everyone!! I’ve had this Swedish Ivy plant for almost a year now. And I was wondering if anyone knows at what point I should consider repotting him? I’m new to having plants, so any and all recommendations would be greatly appreciated :)

I’ve noticed a number of you are using some kind of sunscreen outside of your windows to screen plants on the inside from sunlight. I have two windows, one large window facing south, and another large window facing west. Most of my plants in these places are tropical, and like moderate light; however, these windows will provide an over abundance of sunlight during summer. My plants are in these windows now, because I live in Oregon, and I don’t think the sun is strong enough to burn them at this point. My question is, what percentage of sun should I want to block, 30%, 40%, or 50%? I’ve included pictures of a couple of sunscreens I found on Amazon, and would like some feedback on what you all have, so I can pick an adequate shade for this summer. TIA!

I decided to transplant this plant to PON, but when I pulled it out of its soil, the color of it’s roots weren’t the light color I assumed they would be. Is it normal for the roots of this plant to be dark like that? When I washed the roots to prep it for PON, a few small roots came off, but nothing appeared to be mushy, like I would think root rot might have. I just don’t have any experience with root rot, so I don’t know what it looks like if a plant has it. TIA!

What are your thoughts on mycorrhizal fungi🧐 I heard it's a game changer and I want in on that action any recommendations?

Hi! I accidentally plucked this node off my false shamrock. Figured I'd try to propagate it. Now it has a couple roots! But I'm not sure what to do next.. do I wait till there's more roots/longer? I was hoping to give it to a friend who's flying down at the end of the month but sounds like he can't travel with it if it's in soil.
