Earth Week Challenge 6: Native is Nature 🌿🌍 The best way to support your local environment is to grow the plants that were designed to be there. The Mission: Research one plant species native to your specific region and give it a home. Whether you plant it in your own garden, add it to your office landscape, or gift it to a friend, you’re providing essential habitat and food for the local birds and bugs that depend on it. Join the movement and tell us: What native plant did you discover today?

Does anyone else go through phases where you’re caring for your plants but just can’t keep up with the tracking of it all?… 😳

Confessions of a plant junky: I turned 69 years old yesterday. I have pretty severe fibromyalgia and arthritis is starting to kick in. I have almost 200 plants and I keep swearing that I am going to minimize my collection because it's just too much. So what did I do for my birthday? I went out and bought eight more. Sigh. Minimizing just ain't gonna happen. 😆🤦🏼

Meet Virginia 🎶🎶 ( if you know you know). She is one of my favorites! Look how gorgeous and shiny her leaves are! What can I do to make her even better? Stake her? Put up shelves for her to climb? Leave her alone?

Can we have a moment of silence for this beautiful leaf my Syngonium pushed out? 🥹😂

I would love some guidance on propagating my Monstera! I have noticed there are quite big nodes started. Should I cut where I marked in red and propagate so that I can add more to my current plant? Im a little nervous as it is a large stem. I am open and appreciate all suggestions and guidance.

Can I clean the leaves of my Hoya with straight hydrogen peroxide? Will it kill the plant. Noticed I have spider mites.

This plant was pretty full when I got it. Lost all but one leaf till I started seeing new growth. The one on the right looks very pale. Any need for concern? Or just see what happens 🤷🏼‍♀️

Morning! Want to repot my Tradescantia Pistachio but as you can see she’s developed into quite the… situation 😅 the potted part of main plant is thriving! Then it vines into the shallow pot where several spots have also rooted. What’s my next move? How would YOU approach this repot? Main concern is what to do with the viney bits that have rooted in the shallow pot and if I just plop them into the new main pot soil to make fuller? Other thoughts/tips/tricks welcome! She’s doing great and I don’t want to set her back but this particular set up is no longer ideal. Thank you in advance! 🍃

New to roses… these are the things most people tell you to trim off, right? Don’t want to mess them up!

My local nursery had these beautiful pothos and I’m so indecisive if I should get them or not. Just picture them on each side of my TV in the living room. 😭🤔😍

A friend just gifted me this cute Pothos propagation. This now makes the fourth plant to my little growing houseplant collection.

Any suggestions for a website to buy a large (3 ft or more) snake plant? Thanks!

Ulysses is doing so great but she mystifies me. A lot of those stems seem to be barely rooted at all — I touched a couple about a week ago and they fell right over. I snipped off the bottom of the stems and put them back in the soil, assuming they’d shrivel up and die, but they’re still bright green and putting out new growth! How would I go about repotting a plant that hardly even seems to need soil? I don’t love the pot she came in from the nursery. I want to fertilize her at some point but I don’t want to upset any delicate balance she has going on. (yes, Ulysses is a she)

Hanging plant suggestions?

Does anyone else have a mold-problem? My flaming katy (pictured) has never had mold… until now. Some of my plants in the surrounding area have the same type, are the spores just spreading or am I overwatering?
