I bought my Bettina Ivy last Sunday. I think the big mistake was that I brought it home on a very cold evening, it was about 14F and I didn't put it in any bag or box to protect it from the cold. When I noticed on Monday that the tips of some of the leaves were dry, I thought it was due to cold burn. I checked Google and some resources mentioned watering the plant to help it. I did so and sprayed it a little with neem oil solution to prevent fungus gnats. Since Monday, every day I have found more and more leaves with dry tips or completely withered. Please help me save him!

Is my moth orchid growing a new stem or is this a root growing upwards? I’ve seen several posts and can’t be sure. I’m edging for root
but I’m a pessimist

Does anyone know if you can water propagate a Regal Shields? My plant had some worms in the soil and I completely freaked out and stuck it in some water (I have no other soil at the moment). Will it be okay?

Can you tell me how often do you water an African Violet AND a white flowering Shamrock? On Planata, I think they get too dry. ?

Could someone help identify this beauty. I originally thought a dieffenbachia, but uncertain now

An update on my xanadu cuttings :) I decided to cut the trunk down to about an inch, and I am testing out one growth in vermiculite and another in perlite. Now I will impatiently await some root growth🙃 Please leave any advice or suggestions in the comments!! I don’t have much propagation experience

Has anyone used a grow light before? Does it actually work / is it good for your plants? Any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey plant mommies/daddies! New plant mom here and wanted to see if anyone knew what is going on with my Silver Inch plant. It seems like from the top to bottom, the stem is hollow and a dry up leaf is in there. Not sure how this happened but she still growing out of the side, just not upwards. Any tips/suggestions?

Does anyone know what this plant is? It has curly leaves. I think it’s a philodendron of sorts? It dropped its big old leaves and now I have new regrowth. Thank you!!

Why does my plant look sad, I watered it around 5 days ago and leave it in the sun for a few hours and then take it out for a few hours. Does it maybe need more sun?

Let’s talk bottom watering. What exactly is it? It allows plants to absorb water from the bottom up when your pot (with drainage holes) is placed into a water tray. Pros: * plants take what water they need, and leave the rest. Preventing overwatering/underwatering. * consistent moisture throughout the soil. You can have dry spots with top watering. * less mess (splashing). But that in theory. I tend to make messes during plant care, no matter how careful I try to be. * prevents pests. You aren’t leaving sopping wet top soil for fungus gnats to lay their eggs in. * low cost on supplies. Plastic water trays are around $1-2 at any BBS. Cons: * build-up of minerals in your soil (top watering washes them out). Prevention pointers: top water occasional. Don’t use tap water. ~~All to say, it’s personal preference. At the end of the day, crops, trees, and other plant life take water from rain, and it works for them!

So My Poor Lovely Marigolds Have Passed Away đŸ„ș But Not Before Momma Marigold Gave Birth To A Quite A Few New Babies & Leaves đŸ„č. Her Babies Weren’t Doing To Well In The Big Pot So I Put Them Back In A Nursery Pot With Fresh Drier Soil As They’re Old Pot Was Retaining To Much Water, & Had A Few Pests. I Made Sure To Clean Off Her Roots, Disinfect Her Roots & Clean Her Leaves To Make Sure All Of The Pests And Their Eggs Are Gone. I Think She Will Do Good Back In Her Nursery Pot Until She Blooms Up Again. Her Roots Are Quite Thick & Strong So I Have Hope For Her. I Didn’t Give Her Water Again Because I Didn’t Want To Overwater Her As She Was Watered Just A Few Days Ago & I Don’t Want To Shock Her Too Much. She Will Come Inside Once It Starts Getting Dark. It’s 70 & Not Very Sunny But Warm Outside Where I Live So I Don’t Feel Like She Will Need To Go Under The Grow Lamp Once It Gets Dark. But Do Any Of My Plant Friends Have Any Suggestions??

Hi friends! My sister said this plant was apparently diseased but I’m unsure if it actually is. I also don’t know the type of plant this is, and how to care for it. Thanks.
