Hey all, im trying to make my photos fuller by taking cuttings, rooting them in water and adding them to the same pot, but everytime I move them back into the soil they don’t do very well. Anybody know any tips to help them grow when added back to soil?

This my avacado plant and his old leaves start to brown like in the photo but now his new ones are too and I recently moved him outside and repotted him into a bigger pot. This has been happening since I’ve gotten him any suggestions. Every was sterilized when dealing with him.

This is my Audrey Ficus, which I’ve had for about a year. 6 months ago she got gnats and she is 2 months clean off them. Here are some tips to prevent and kill gnats. Why you have Gnats: - You over watered your plants or have too large of a pot. - Your plants humidity attracted gnats. - You recently bought a plant which had gnats, which spread to the rest of your plants. - It’s just gnat season which is spring and early summer. Kill Gnats: - Spray Plants with neem oil (neem oil stinks a bit so you can use 1/2 diluted neem oil. This is make the gnats want to get away from your plant. - Get zeevo fly traps and turn the lights off. The gnats will be attracted to the zeevo light and it works like a charm. - Get yellow sticky traps and put them 1 inch above the soil. You will get the rest of the gnats from your plant. - If you have caught 10 gnats or see gnats in your soil they are probably going to reproduce in your plant. You shoudl put 1/4 hydrogen peroxide in the soil and if it bubbles it worked. Do this for 2-3 weeks in a row or when you see no more gnats. Preventing Gnats: - If your plants is prone to gnats you can keep a yellow sticky trap or zeevo ect to them like for my Audrey ficus. - During your plants mists you can stay 1 or 2 sprays of neem oil in your stay can to prevent gnats and not have a stink. - Get a fan and run it to circulate the airflow of the room which will keep the gnats out. - Dorn overwater your plants and even bottom water when possible.

We have shoots and droops. Obviously the plant is growing, and is doing wonderfully under a grow light. Question- is the pot size wrong? Or is it just not planted deep enough? I trimmed off the top a few months ago because the plant kept falling over, now we have three pups doing great coming out of the cut. Recently, the bottom petals are just dropping off and once again becoming top heavy.

Hello, this is the first tradescantia I’ve owned. When I got it it was only like five inches long and now it’s well over five feet, which I’m super happy about, but it’s very small. Does anyone know how I can make it a little bushier? Right now it’s only like three long vines and I’m wondering if cutting it and propagating would work but I’m nervous to lose a bunch of length. Just wanting to learn :) it’s also got a new little one coming off the top so idk if I should just wait and see if it gets bushier on its own

I am relatively new to plants so I need some help. I had a self proclaimed “plant person” come help me repot some plants. All the plants that she repotted she used an all purpose soil and mixed in perlite. The problem is, the soil drainage is not great. The water essentially sits on top for quite some time and it takes forever for water to come out the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. My arrowhead and my aloe are not doing well and my pothos already died. (We also repotted my zz and monstera but they seem to be fine). My question is this: should I repot them again? I know repotting can shock the plants for a minute so I don’t want to double shock them and I don’t want the extra fertilizer in the new soil to kill them either. What do I do? (The repotting happened a week ago)

What kind of Dieffenbachia is this? I’ve had a hard time figuring it out. How much is it worth? I would appreciate any other helpful care tips.
