One year difference…it has gone crazy! One of my favorite plants!

Hello - I’m new to Planta and I love the app so far. I’ve been a plant mom for awhile but my Thanksgiving cactus has always been a struggle. I finally started doing something right because it began to bloom and was beautiful. I repotted it for the first time in years and changed the pot and now the leaves just fall off. The photo with the blooms was April and the now this is what she looks like. I removed her from the bigger pot and put her in a little pot for what is left. I definitely did something wrong. Any help is appreciated.

I noticed my Lady Valentine wasn’t doing as well as I hoped. The bottom leaves were fading. I dug through the soil to find two smaller pots within the self watering pot. Never repotted since purchasing a few months ago. Roots look really healthy though!

Hello lovely plant friends! Meet my rubber plant Leo! So I got her about 2-ish months ago and I think she’s pretty settled in my home environment. I’m looking to get her some help to grow so I was thinking of cutting the top part off to encourage new growth. I also heard of making small incisions on the stem to help growth as well. Any thoughts or tips on helping this baby grow ? Thanks! Happy Saturday! 🪴🪴

Hi guys! Can anyone tell me why my Opalina keeps losing leaves from the slightest movement? (I turn the pot daily so it gets even amount of light). I’m making sure not to catch it on anything and being really careful with it but every time I check on it it’s lost another🥲 it seems to be healthy but the lower leaves seem to be a bit more wobbly than the others? Any advice welcome:) I’ve added any lost leaves to my propagations but I’m not sure if they’ll work considering I’m not sure how they came off🫣

What do you guys think about these red and blue lights? Do they work? I am new to them and am having trouble finding credible resources for them.

I am so excited!!! Look at all of Penny’s tiny new leaves 💛 I am so grateful for this app and this community. So many plants have suffered and died under my care that I had almost given up being a plant parent. I am so glad I gave it one more try.

Excuse my crusty dusty nails but found this little guy in my house earlier today. I have never seen a praying mantis in real life, so cute, but not cute enough for my house. Meet the new security for my rose bush 🥳

So I know most people repot their plants when they bring them from the store. But I got this monstera monkey mask and her soil looks nice and she isn’t root bound. Should I still repot? And if you do repot do you take all the old dirt off the root ball?

Bought this cutting a month ago and have been waiting for the leaf to emerge from the stalk. I just saw this guy a few days ago and thought it was an aerial root. Now it’s looking like it could be a new leaf? Can anyone confirm either way?

Hello everyone, I consider myself a good plant mom with over 50 plants thriving but I have one that is making me question myself 🤦🏼‍♀️ I recently got this alocasia, when I got it it was way over watered and when I checked the roots at home the plant had very little to no roots and the roots it did have were way past rotten. I downsized the pot since it had no roots hoping that would help. It is in a semi chunky soil that I use for my other alocasias that are thriving. I went on vacation for three days and came back to this yellowing leaf. The plant looks very sad and upset but sure what to do to help it thrive. I’ve had this about a 8 days now and the new leaf hasn’t unfolded yet and I am thinking this is due to the plant being stressed because of the lack of roots and the plant giving all its energy to other areas of the plant to keep it alive. Any ideas? I absolutely hate cutting larger leaves off but would that possibly help? Any advice and ideas would be greatly appreciated thank you in advance!!
