Has anyone grown Spanish moss indoors? Iāve been searching info and one concern is that it houses tiny insects.. another question would be the safest way to treat it, and not harm the moss. I am in SC and if I could bring an entire moss covered tree home with me I would- LOVE it! Iād like to have a small plant as decor at home.. I understand thereās specific needs, etc.. Iād love to try! Anyone? ThanksššŖ“

Hi all! Iāve had this Swiss cheese plant for awhile, I bought it and brought it back from near-dead to thriving and now it is oddly only growing new leaves from the bottom stalk⦠should I snip off this long spindly leaf-less arm thing it has going on? (Included a pic of it at its healthiest and a pic now)
I need some more help. š¬ My string of dolphins has lost two other strands, I tried to water propagate, and propagate in soil, but both died. I have one strand left, and I really donāt want to loose it. Itās under a grow light for 12 hours a day. Itās always a little squishy and wilted. I have put the last string in the soil in hopes the pieces would propagate, but I havenāt had any luck with that. It was in a pot with no drainage and I think it wasnāt getting enough light and too much water. It has been in this pot for a while now. The roots were okay when I looked. I donāt know what else to do. Any advice appreciated. The profile picture is what it looked like when I got it. ā¬ļøā¬ļøā¬ļø
My Alocasia Polly has been dropping leaves like crazy š anyone know why?? They all have been yellowing around the edges. I bought it from the nursery with spider mites and have been trying to treat. The roots were also embedded in this netting, so I removed that too and put it in better soil to allow them to breathe. Is there anything else I can do to stop all the leaves from dropping off? I only have three left, and one has been trying to grow in since I bought it a month ago.
Any help my spider plant has gone weird some of the leaves have gone bent like they are not strong enough or smth plz help. If your wondering why the leaves are ripped apart my kitten decided to attack it lol :)

Hi guys! My Echeveria is acting weird, and I need some help. Itās wilty and soft like itās underwater but then 2 leaves have turned yellow like itās been overwatered. Itās under a grow light for 12 hours a day and has been doing great, until now. Should I bottom water it and give it a nice soak? Let me know what you guys think. Any advice appreciated! Thank you!! š
Iām so excited! My orchid decided sheās going to flower again! These are the first flowers since she came to live with us, and I canāt wait to see them š
Hello! Iāve been a florist for a few months at a store and wish to expand my knowledge of both flowers and potted plants! I also happen to have a new puppy and was hoping for advice on choosing pet friendly plantsš
happy wednesday everyone!! i am looking for some recommendations. first has anyone had luck keeping cat grass alive? my poor archie is just not doing well. any tips? also what are everyoneās recommendations on a budget friendly potting soil? looking forward to hearing thoughts thank you!
Does anyone know why my spider plant keeps doing this? The leaves keep flopping and feel paper thin now rather than rubbery? Is it overwatering? I water once a week cos the soil usually gets bone dry all the way through after just a couple days, so I feel the need to water once a week, but is that too much? Or is it something else? Please excuse the mess in the backgroundš«£
Need some guidance⦠just acquired this stripped dracaena, rubber plant, and moth orchid. Iāve had the Bonsai over a year now. I need advice on repotting them with pots with drainage and any other tip will highly take into consideration! š I got the water scheduling down.. and tips on fertilizers is needed. Have a wonderful day !
Has anyone else ever found packing peanuts in their soil before? I had my 30-year-old jade plant repotted by my local nursery back in May, and recently it started losing some leaves. I went to check the roots and soil and found that instead of any perlite, there was two handfuls of packing peanuts stuffed in with the soil. Iāve never had issues with this nursery. Their plants have always been in great condition, so Iām curious if anyone else has used or found packing peanuts (yes, the styrofoam ones) in their soil, and why. I decided to remove the peanuts completely as they ended up blocking the drainage holes at the bottom, but Iām curious to hear anyone elseās experiences with it.

So need some plant experts on this one (Iām somewhere on the intermediate level as far as plants are concerned - I have around 50+ plants and have several in self watering pots that are doing phenomenal). However, I know self watering pots are controversial in the plant community LOL - but wondering if in this case putting a Aglaonema in one was a bad idea & if itās causing rot?š¤ itās a very contradicting situation cause: 1. I cut off about a dozen āyellowing leavesā (photo below) today. 2.it also has a ton of new growth which makes me think itās fine but might need to be watered less? (Note: I water it every 12 days instead of every week to account for the extra water at the bottom itās soaking up).
I have a spot where the closest window (which is HUGE) is probably around 5 meters away, any plant suggestions for that spot? Mostly hanging plants please because I have two little kitty monsters
Anyone have a good amount of experience with scindapsusās? This is my 3rd attempt at having one & Iām having issues with the leaves curling & the plant eventually dying or to the point where it just looks awful - does that mean it needs more water or is it perhaps another issue? I got the one in the pic 6+ months ago & itās doing okay since I repotted a few months ago in a chunkier tropical soil mix, but not as good as Iād like - still noticing some curling leaves & really small new growth! (note: have it on a 6 day watering schedz about 1ft away from an east facing window so it should be getting a good amount of morning light).
Quick question! Iām looking for something to buy to create more space on my windowsill for my plants. I have pretty narrow windowsills all throughout my house, and sadly my dad is the one that lucked out with all the south windows in his room, leaving me with one little south windowsill to work with on the first floor. Does anyone have anything theyāve used to extend a windowsill, or any shelving item that theyāve bought to stick to a window? TIA! I have a fast growing Jade plant thatās quickly outgrowing its spot, but I donāt wanna move her from the āsucculent cornerā I have that I use as a nice display of my plants that everyone can see through the window of the front of our house when people come in.
I am starting to branch out into some more unusual plants. I got my philodendron Florida ghost in the mail today and I couldnāt be more excited!! Any tips on how to care for this beauty would be much appreciated. My plan for now is to basically treat it like my pink princess.
