Caladiums/“Angel Wings” are my favorite plants and I’ve purchased 4-6. They all average about 6-12”. I bought some bulbs online to try my hand at growing. My first attempt has been remarkable! The first 3 leaves seem to be like those of all my other plants. Then, over the last 7 or so days, this fourth leaf shot up 24 freaking inches! One time I caught it growing 2” in only 2 hours! I put a large Starbucks water bottle next to it for reference. I haven’t even fertilized it yet! Does anyone have any ideas why this stem is so super charged, like it’s on steroids?

Out running errands this morning. I should be safe from buying any plants, right? To bolster my resolve I took the two seater convertible- no room for new plants. Literally thirty minutes after having that thought. (See picture) Here is hoping that the wind from the open top on the drive home blew off any pests. I might need a twelve step program.

Question, so have a Zz plant that I was waiting to repot since it was pushing out two new shoots. The first shoot pushed out and grew to its full height in the space of a month. However, the second shoot has been stalled ever since then and has only grew out maybe a 1/4 inch. At first I thought it was just the other shoot taking energy from it, but now I’m not sure if it just needs a repot to grow further. Any ideas? 😬🌱

Help! I got my fiddle fig a few months ago and the leaves are starting to turn brown and a few have fell off. I looked it up and it said it may be due to under watering so I’ve been giving her more water but I feel like that’s making matters worse. Any ideas? Also how often are you watering your fiddle fig?

Any general tips about repotting?

I have this Dubia here that I have been considering cutting back . I let it go a little longer than I should have with an extension . My questions are is this normal ? Will the leaves fill in or did I mess it up by waiting to extend ? I was also considering a small clip either way since it’s already past the top of the pole & I don’t think I want it any taller than it is . Thanks!

Does anyone know what kind of plant this is in the teapot?

Does this look like pest damage? I can’t for the life of me figure out/see what is causing this. Thrips maybe? I just want a second opinion before I start panicking lol

I just got this plant yesterday I am thinking about repotting on tomorrow should I? Or should I wait and if so how long before I repot?

I just got this beauty for $65! It has 12 plants in it.
After I give it some time to get over the shock of coming home with me…..do you think I should start separating the plants, or can I leave it as-is?
I really want to start doing dish gardens and would love to keep it as-is, but is it already maxing out the pot?
Thanks! =)

Two newbies! I’m also looking for a Rhipsalis Baccifera for a trailing plant I’ve fallen in love with. Show me yours if you’ve got one!!!

**soil and repotting question**
I repotted most of my plants already this year, but the soil I’ve used is mostly hydrophobic and compacted. I use terra cotta pots pretty much exclusively, so I’d like the plants to be able to easily absorb more water.
Should I give them a new, chunkier soil mix, even though they’ve all been repotted this season? Or wait it out and hope for the best?
Thanks for any advice or insight you can provide!
