I just go this plant and it’s Soo pretty ✨ Any advice for care??
I want to get starts from my rose bush. I will give you pics. As a symbol of remembrance for my daughter and 3 grandbabies. I saw where someone put a sprinkle of their loved one’s ashes in a pot and then grew the plant. I don’t know I will go that far but I still need to get starts even if I just give it away. I sent you all a picture of it with well it’s when I checked on her this month she had Lacey leaves. I cut them off like it said to do. Well I did a test run. Let’s make sure it’s not a bogus “hey dummy you didn’t cut it right!” The last pic and I will leave you to it. In advance thank you for your help. I will post on Facebook also.
I made a post about this a few days ago, but I’m still struggling with my string of pearls. It just seems to keep shriveling more and more every day. Is there any way I can save this? Should I try to cut and propagate any healthy parts before it’s too late?
i got this at a free plant exchange and it was unlabeled. i’ve tried to figure out what kind of plant it is by google lens and comparing it to other types of plants. i currently have it marked as a giant elephant ear (alocasia wentii). i was wondering if someone could verify or figure out what type it actually is. i currently have an orchid that i’ve had for at least less than 3 weeks so im new too all of this. id like to have a collection but of course, i have to start small. any tips or suggestions would be very much appreciated!
Recently re-potted my rubber plant (had had to chop and prop) and now its back in soil it seems to be thriving! I am concerned about this teeny leaf… do the leaves continue to grow once they’ve unfurled? I’ve never had one before this one and it nearly died earlier this year so want to know it’s doing ok haha. Thank you 🙂
Hi All, I am considering adding a long plant shelf above this door and windows. But wondering if it’ll be enough light? My current plant shelving is about 20 feet away from this door and those plants are doing well. You can also see in this photo that there’s an air vent in the ceiling that can be redirected as to not blow on the shelf if I put one up. This photo is taken at 2:45pm so it shows the afternoon lighting situation. Thanks for any opinions!
Just love plants with changing colors🖤🍃
i got a new toothpick cactus today named ophelia (o-feel-e-a) because when i was cactus hunting she poked me like she wanted to be taken home so welcome to the family girlfriend!
Ok planty parents i need your help once again ! I was gifted the cutest cuttings bouquet and need help identifying ! Also with the succulents especially, care tips ? How should I go about planting them or getting roots ?
Is this a separate plant?
Just here to show off my new shelf🤩 absolutely obsessed with the way it looks, it completes my living room🌱 On the other hand, my plants are now in the danger zone of being eaten by my dog🥲 I’m especially cautious now as a few of them are toxic if eaten… could anyone lend me some tips on how to prevent him from getting to them? He seems to be ignorant of them rn, quick sniff yesterday and paid no interest since; but I’m paranoid for when we leave him home alone. I’m thinking of maybe getting a guard of some sort like the ones that people use to protect fireplaces etc to maybe put around it but idk where I could find one the right size…? (For reference, the shelf is just over a metre tall, I think 110cm)
So excited that a piece of my ZZ plant that broke off while repotting it getting roots.
Can anyone identify this lil guy for me ? Calathea ? if so what kind ?
Hello, I need help with this plant, I don't know why it's happening, it's been about a few months, and the leaves are dry. I need an idea to take care of it. Thanks
My elephant ear seems to be getting bigger and leggy-ier. She’s starting to push out another leaf. Wish me luck, the last leaf she pushed out was huge
You save a lot more money and actually better poles if you just get this and of course bulk is better besides #4 1. plastic coated wire mesh (it’s preferred because the water can rust it if it’s not coated) 2. zip ties 3. pvc sheets 4. hole puncher
Today I went to the US Botanic Garden for the first time since before I was a houseplant hobbyist. I just have to comment that it is a completely different experience going to a botanical garden with more knowledge about plants in general, e.g., climates, binomial nomenclature, etc. It even gave me ideas for more plants and showed me what some of my succulents might look like in 50 years. Unfortunately we were not able to see the corpse flower unfurled. Maybe next time 😊
Help, what do I do with this situation? There was a bug on my money tree plant and it left these marks
Question, so I have a moonshine snake plant and was wondering if I’m maybe under watering?? So I have it in bright indirect light about a few feet away from an east facing window. It’s in a room that gets AC and a ceiling fan, but the vents aren’t directly on the plant. It’s in a terracotta pot with drainage and a very very chunky mix of 60% orchid bark, 20% perlite and 20% cactus succulent soil. I currently water it about once a month if not longer in between, and there was a small bottom leaf that got crunchy that I pulled off during my last watering and this leaf seems to be getting a lighter tinge of green. What do? 🧐
How do I let the app, Planta know that my plant has died so that I don’t continue to get reminder care notices from them?
