Anyone recommend any indoor plants that wouldn’t have to have sunlight?
Anyone recommend any indoor plants that wouldn’t have to have sunlight?
All plants will require some form of light. Are you looking for low light plants? Cast iron plants are my go to recommend as they’re relatively easy to care for and safe if an animal eats it.
2 J'aimeGreat rec! Like other “low light” plants, choose one that’s already the size you’d like it to be — without ample light it will stay that size
1 j'aimeZz! Does soooo good in hardly any light. I had one in a very dark living room that always gave me new growth!
2 J'aimeMy nail tech had a monstera in her room with ZERO light for two years, then I quit doing my nails lol. Legend has it, it’s still alive 😹 no grow lights either.
0 J'aimeOh wow definitely gonna have to check out that plant… I’ve always been terrible at keeping plants alive but I really want to have live plants in the house they are so pretty!
2 J'aimeI don’t think that’s normal for a monstera, they usually require some light lol. Get a golden pothos or a zz, I think it will grow great for you.
1 j'aimeYou will!!! One of the easiest plants that I’ve ever owned. Just forget out it for a while, then water it. Over watering is the quickest way to kill any plant. They thrive more on less water, in my experience.
1 j'aimeCeiling lights in an office, store or other business can keep plants alive if the monstera had no sunlight.

Marino moss balls need very little light
1 j'aimeHow about a snake plant? I have several, but my oldest and largest, lives quite nicely in darker spaces of my home. They’re so easy to take care of. They don’t need much water; you don’t water until they are really dry. It’s the kind of plant that you can put in a darker corner and just forget about it. I think they thrive on neglect. Good luck! 🤗💚🪴
0 J'aimeAll plants require sunlight in order to photosynthesis but syngoniums are low light plants and can come in some very pretty colors!
0 J'aimeThose colorful syngoniums need ample light to keep those colors
0 J'aimeZz thrives in BRIGHT light, same with snake plants. For these low light tolerant plants, it’s best to purchase them at the size you prefer, because they won’t grow much but will maintain themselves
0 J'aimeI’ve had pothos thrive under fluorescent office lights!
0 J'aimeYou could use grow lights if you don’t have enough sunlight. If you don’t give plants any light, you are literally starving them to death. Light is how they produce their energy. If you want to grow something without light, grow mushrooms. 🍄🟫
