Clearly state the concern/question/issue. Is it color, height, drying out?

Uh… idk, I think it’s a hyacinth but please tell me if I’m wrong, and hyacinths are meant to be outside :>

Should I clip the browned leaves?

Definitely clip dead petals, it’ll make room for new petals to grow either next spring or this spring :>

Hyacinths only bloom for a short time. I did this same thing. Planted a couple in water inside. After they were done blooming I took them outside. I believe this is just naturally how they die down after a little bit of time. Unless it came out that way or didn’t look good ever, then I don’t know. Leave the leaves on when you plant the bulb the leaves give nutrients to the bulb so it can come up again next year! Don’t they smell amazing?!?

Also I’m pretty sure it will not bloom again this year. They are like tulips and daffodils they only grow one flower in the spring. Unless your bulb gives you two flowers but it won’t reflower. Just plant it outside when you are ready and it should pop up next year.

Hyacinth s are bulbs that you typically plant in the ground in the fall. I have one that has come up for several years. The ones you buy in the store are forced but you can put them in the ground and expect them to grow. The one you have is just spent. The flowers only last so long and then they're done. They are considered ephemerals. They grow up in the spring, give a beautiful show, and die back into dormancy by early summer. The foliage will stay green for a little while after the flowers died back.

Hey! I also planted some outside in the fall. It was so fun to watch them come up. But I have one that looks almost like yours. Almost done blooming about the same color. Just made me think of your post. Not sure if you will see this or not.
