Bought this frangipani for my bf about 1.5 years ago, has struggled to grow more than 3 leaves at a time. Eventually they all fall off and it starts over. Recently, it’s been looking lovely (last few months) but I just got back from a few days away and it has a couple leaves that are looking yellow/ brown spots. In the past, we have fought spider mites off of these guys. He sits in a partial sun window. Help!

I once tried to keep a plumeria indoors. Been exactly there. If I recall, it’s normal for them to go dormant in the winter. But if you can’t give them a long growing season of heat, bright light and humidity, this is what’s gonna happen. I don’t mean to be discouraging—I’m sure there’s a way to grow them indoors, but they are Level 23 houseplants.

Have you checked the soil? Is it wet? How’s the drainage? In my opinion you should add lots and lots of perlite. This guys need really good drainage. For mine I did about 45% perlite and 55% soil. You know the little white pebbles that are very lite weight. Good luck!
