Hey everyone. I had left my plants overnight in my car in very cold conditions. I went through a lot and was too depressed to bring them in. Be honest is there and salvage. I have: Hoya krimson queen, spider plant, golden pothos, marble queen pothos, snake plants, wandering dude, baby tears, money tree and more. All leaves are brown, and super soft as well as stems. Would I have to throw everything away?

😔 there’s not a lot of hope after freezing, i’m sorry friend. you can wait it out and see if any of them make a comeback, but the prognosis isn’t good and it will take a looong time

Agreed. Unfortunately, I learned from experience. 😓

I know what it’s like to be depressed and have to prioritize your sanity first. Sorry this happened. I don’t know if this is good advice or not but here’s what I would do: 1. move your plants to a proper temperature area. 2. Cut off everything that is visibly dead- if there are fully dead plants say thanks and goodbye. 3. Check out what you’re working with. You may need to repot some plants into smaller containers, turn on some grow lights or do some light watering. 4. Leave your plants to adjust and see what happens. 5. Take good care of yourself and forgive any mistakes you made. Plant ownership is a journey and depression is tough. Wishing you the best!

Anything that can propigate, i would try to save and put the rest into lights and windows. Itll take awhile but some might make it. I hope whatever your going through gets better, times may be tough but it gets better. Wishing you the best of luck ❤️

Hi Hannah! I’m sorry you’re going through it. I don’t know about all of them, but the money tree tapped out. My boyfriend’s mom ordered one for me & it came shipped looking like that. It’s done. I also live with major depressive disorder, and have neglected my plants for months at a time. Lost a few too. In fact, noticing when I’m not taking care of my plants or not even wanting to is the first sign I know I’m depressed. Try not to dwell on this. Getting back on top of plant care is a wonderful feeling, and you’ll get there too. 💚
