If the roots are coming out of the bottom or if they are top heavy are two signs to repot.
1 likeDepending on the plant, just just before they come active in the spring time late late winter it’s a good time to pull it out. If you wanna keep it the same size trim the roots and put it back in the pot. If you wanna upgrade same storage don’t need to come back to the roots.
0 likesI’m looking for the roots. If they come out of the pod at the bottom side I know it’s the time 🪴 (meanwhile I want to repot one plant since 5 month, but it continues to grow new leaves)
0 likesFor me it’s when the roots are growing out of the pot, sometimes when the growth has stalled and other times when the soil is really old and dry and no amount of watering hydrates it
0 likesDon’t be in a hurry is my best advice. Let the babies get snug and either roots coming out of the drainage holes or so tall that the pot keeps tipping over. I only buy babies and have learned the hard way about root rot from being in a pot that’s too big. Godspeed!! 💚💚
1 likeI have found that I like buying babies too. I like watching them grow and I seem to have less issues with them acclimating

0 likesFor me I know it’s time to repot if the plant starts loosing leaves out of the blue cause that’s typically a sign that it’s root bound
