As always, I want another plant. My bathroom is too beige for my liking. The biggest issue for me is LIGHT. I need a plant that can thrive in shade or dark and tolerate the humidity. Any suggestions welcome!!

Peace lily pothos or snake plants are awesome
4 likesI get shaded filtered light most of the day in my bathroom and my cheese Swiss monstera is pretty happy. Slow growth but isn’t dropping leaves or dying on me and it’s lived there for over a year now. Pothos or Algaonema might do well too. I also bring out all my plants for some sun which can help
3 likesA ZZ plant can tolerate lower light. I’m not 100% sure on the humidity, but I think they are okay with it. I would just get on a big one if it’s gonna be kept in lower light as the growth with slow down by a lot.

Would it be possible to add a decorative light - a grow light in disguise? Perhaps a cute table or pendant lamp?
0 likesIt’s a shared bathroom 😅 and it’s not particularly feasible where I’d put the plant.

1 likeI have a monstera adansonii, zz and a jade satin pothos in a shady bathroom. Agree with others to say it’s slow growth there but certainly not no growth. These are placed about 1.5m from the window. And on the window sill I have a spider plant, pothos and pothos n-joy and they’re all doing fine. There’s a roof outside the bathroom window so it gets pretty shady but everyone is alive, just not as luscious as in the rest of the house
