Top water or bottom water? I used to bottom water plants and let them soak until the top of the soil was wet. However, we now have way too many plants to let plants just sit in trays for too long. If I top water and let the plant soak up any water from the saucer, how long do you think I should let it soak? 15 minutes? 30 minutes? Longer?

i would say try to keep bottom watering, maybe group them together in the sink or shower

10-15 minutes is good. Tbh though, I’ve found it easier for my setup to gather all the plants I need to water at the sink, top water them all on a drying rack, then put them all back. Watering at each location just got too cumbersome for me, I’d rather water everything at once. If you that, you don’t really need to wait around unless you’re soaking something like an air plant.

I bought a plastic kiddie pool from the dollar store to help with the bottom watering process lol

I only bottom water plants that require it, like fuzzy leaf things. Without top watering, there’s no way to flush out the build up of salt/other minerals/fertilizers. So if you must bottom water, do a top rinse every once in a while. I allow my plants ~30 minutes to soak up the water that runs into the tray. When you remember is fine as long as it isn’t sitting overnight
