Hey, I was wondering if sphagnum moss is a good medium for a monstera Bulbasaur acclimation medium? I might mix it with perlite. Idk. The plant is arriving on Monday. So I’m trying to set up now.

That’s a good medium for when you’re trying to grow roots on a small plant, but I don’t think it’s a good medium for long-term.

So switch it to monstera soil once it grows roots? I’ve never done a tissue cutter acclimation

I did a mix of fluval stratum and perlite with a few tissue cultures, but the moss should be good with perlite too.

I have mine in sphagnum with some perlite and it’s doing the best out of all of my tissue cultures actually. Now that the roots are strong, I’m moving to perlite/stratum mix.
