Looking for some know-how on ZZ plants 🪴 I’ve had this guy for almost a year, i haven’t seen it sprout a single new leaf. No signs of distress, but just curious for some ideas on how to make him grow!

MelodyHow much light does he get? All zz plants are slow growers but I keep mine next to a window but not getting any direct light. It seems to be happy and growing. Maybe a bit more light would help it grow a bit faster.

He’s in an east-facing window, gets a small amount of direct morning light but only for a couple hours a day, then mostly indirect

I’m not sure the lighting sounds pretty good have you checked the roots or repotted recently? Also the stems of your zz look a little thin. I’m not sure if that’s normal but maybe find a way to bulk them up because they store energy for your plant allowing it to grow.

GabbyThis is about a year and 4 months difference but I moved my ZZ away from my window and sometimes neglect it and if sprouts new growth. It’s definitely a slow grower. Mine usually goes 3-4 months before I see new growth. I also started fertilizing with a liquid fertilizer called “Purived plant nutrition- houseplant food”.
