my sipder plant is currently turning yellow & brown on me. Is there any way to fix this? First time owning a spider plant so not sure how to help it!. EDIT: should I remove these orange/brown pieces?

It could be too much water that is burning the leaves

0 likesInside the pot it has a drainage pot I took the plant out of the glass pot not to long ago and put in a smaller pot + better drainage.
1 likeI didn’t think of this before when I first got it , I love plants dearly but only plant I’ve ever had was an Aleo Vera which I was able to forget about and it’d just grow .

0 likesRescue by water prop? That's what I did on mine. But then, mine was over watered and root rotted, lol. She's starting to give me a tiny tiny root, lol.
0 likesthis is how I originally found out the plant was still good to go with planting was with water in a cup . started turning on me like that after 2 days I think? think mine will make it? Lol
1 likeThe pot looks too big for such a small plant. Spider plants like small tight pots. They fill up a pot with thick roots and are happy that way. I recommend using a pot about 4 inches wide. It should hold the roots with less than 1/2 of soil around it. Use well draining soil with lots of perlite for drainage. Let the soil dry out before watering again. Fertilize regularly. Place the pot in an east window to get bright light or use a grow light. My photo is of a spider baby I grew in a 3 inch wide recycled plastic pot. It got morning sunlight and afternoon bright shade.
