I found this while searching for unique plants this morning. I know many of us struggle with fungus gnats so I was super excited to share!!

Ya, this guy shows up when I searched fungus gnat catcher plant and apparently it is a pinguicula ehlersiae x mesophytica, a hybrid between Mexican butterwort (pinguicula ehlersiae) and tropical butterwort (pinguicula mesophytica) created by rainbow carnivorous plants U.S.

No, just googled it and that is what popped up. But might pursue botany after getting a degree in paleontology. But I am in the faculty of science at UofC.

Pings are great for catching fungus gnats. They are definitely not like having a "regular" plant so just do your research. I don't have this species, but I just got a pumice rock to make a ping rock with a few i have and sone new ones im ordering . Sundews are also a good gnat catcher.

I’ve never personally had one so I’m not sure. Just something I found while doing some research!

I mean, they aren't gonna devastate your gnat problem at all. In reality they catch a few bugs a week. I'd honestly say their reservoirs of water catch more 😆 🤣

      Worth something, I guess.🙃

I had tried for awhile to intersperse pings and sundews in my collection. But they love a crap ton of light, and they weren't doing well in certain spots. So now I just have almost all in a south window.
