I just repotted my Monstera. I had some yellowing on a few leaves. How soon should I water them since overwatering was a culprit?

were you watering too frequently, was the soil too dense or did the old pot have poor drainage?? does the new pot have good drainage & a chunky soil mix? i’d water it to get it settled into the new soil, then i’d ignore it for like 2 weeks before getting back to a regular watering schedule
2 Me gustaI was following the schedule on Planta. The soil drained perfectly so I don’t know what started to happen. I did make a chunky mix with orchid bark and perlite added. Thank you for your advice!
2 Me gustayou should also make sure the pot is only like 2 inches wider than the root ball! if the pot is too big, the soil will stay too wet for too long & then planta’s watering schedule will kill ya… it happened to me a with a few plants as well! if you’re paranoid, you could stick a chopstick or something into the top 4 inches of soil, and if it comes out clean, it’s time to water!
1 me gustaGreat! Thanks again Emily. I will use the chopstick method before I water going forward
1 me gustaThe exact same thing happened to me and I lost one of the two plants in the pot. Fingers crossed for the other. It was doing so well and the leaves started yellowing. I hope all turns out well for yours.
1 me gustaThank you! I have 3 plants now as well. Sorry you lost your others. I responded to it right away. I hope it pays off!
