people have a lot of opinions about MG but here’s what I know — I no longer use this, I use an organic liquid fertilizer that smells like ass lol BUT I used this exact product for YEARS and it never harmed my plants. I would pump it onto the soil and water it in. You’ve got it, so use it!

Seconded! Use it up if you’ve got it. It’s marketed towards the average person who just wants some nice houseplants, so it’s beginner/user friendly. “Normal” people, unlike some of us who should probably take bio chemistry classes based on how obsessed we are with dialing in our plant treatment 😂 Eatyourcarbs, do you use Neptune’s Harvest? That one smells stRONG lol. My mom used to use it, but she couldn’t keep the cats out of her plants! 😹 I assume it’s because of the fish fertilizer, but in general we figured it wouldn’t be good for the cats to drink drip tray water and all that. I’ve been using Bontanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow (a mouthful) for a few years now. It’s does not bring all the cats to the yard thankfully lol. And I think it smells mild. Dare I say, maybe even almost good 😂 Or I’ve gone totally nose blind to weird plant room smells. That’s not impossible lol

I use the Grow Co organic indoor plant food — it STINKS!!! I use Fox Farm Big Blooms for my blooming plants and that one looks like mud but smells like nothing

Oh I haven’t seen that brand before I don’t think. But noted! 😂 Fox Farm has so many different specialized formulas! All my plants have pretty much the same general needs, but I would definitely look into them if I were to branch out to include flowering plants, vegetables, full hydroponics, or something like that

I only recently started using a specific for blooming plants because I’ve collected quite a few at this point and it’s been aweeeesome. Everything else gets grow co — I use a succulent formula, a general, and the blooming

I use the standard blue crystal Miracle Gro. It works fine for my variety of plants with SuperThrive plant vitamins as an additive. I have used an acidic fertilizer for tomatoes, roses, azaleas, conifers and other plants that like acidic soil. I have used a fertilizer for blooms when I was growing plants that bloom daily like hibiscus, bougainvilleas and summer annuals. I use manure in spring on large plants in heavy pots to refresh them. I rarely repot those. Cow, chicken, and humus all work fine along with fish fertilizer. It all stinks. I never use them on indoor plants. Good luck.🍀🪴

So I like Sunny’s response the best because I too, depending on the month will use a MG Bloom or MG Green, etc. BUT for the most part I use the MG All Purpose blue crystals, even though i have what you are showing here with their liquid formula. All of the feeds, the MG or the stinky organic liquid poo feeds, all have 1 thing in common. High Price. After 2 summers i am running out of the MG Blue crystals. I bought the big rectangular container with 4 individual sleeves of food inside. It’s the best deal per weight. The liquid MG All Purpose is great for one or two pumps on top of the soil. I then hols my finger on the hole at the bottom or tape it shut. I slowly water the plant allowing the dirt to absorb the moisture. When the dirt stips sucking up water and it pools at the top with no bubbles occurring, i then remove the tape from the bottom to let out all the extra water. If i mix-it in a container then i just use 4 pumps. I use the MG for succulents way more than the one you are displaying. One last thing. If Planta is reading too, if anyone gets to sorak with a Miracle Grow employee then tell them there is a design flaw in these bottles and it stinks, not as it smells. If you pick up one of these bottles at a local store, then do not apply any kind of pressure to the bottle. Do not place it under your arm. Do not place it. You know squish someplace just don’t allow it to be pushed because the plug at the top and the pump is crap once you remove that plug fluid comes gushing out , and if you’re not watching the fluids gushing out when you’re not even aware of it. So the pump on this on all of these is flawed.
