Anyone reccomend their most rewarding plants? I'm slowly gonna cap my plant count to around 24ish [eventually] so i really want plants that satisfy that primal itch when I build my wishlist. So many look yummy but I don't know what feels nice to care for lol😋

I think arrowhead plants and monstreas are quite rewarding for me, because of how quickly they grow

Philodendron micans, pothos (snow queen, global green, manjula, Baltic blue), syngonium mojito, monstera deliciosa, scindapsus exotica (the big one)

If any of these tickle your fancy, give me a holler, and I’ll let you know what they are. Happy hunting!

She’s a Chinese Evergreen ‘Red Emerald’, otherwise known as an Aglaonema Commutatum! I think I purchased her from Home Depot. They had lots of them, and they weren’t very expensive. I just picked the one out that had the most red on its leaves… She is pretty, isn’t she…. 🤩!

You have the most plants I’ve seen in one house, and my grandma is botanist

Honestly, when you start looking through the plant collections that other Planta members have, mine is small, in comparison… believe it or not! Let’s see where you are in a few years…🫣!

Ooh I do miss my succulents 😭 I used to grow so many in my parent's yard but I've never tried much of the grapotoverias! If I ever switch to my roommate's south facing window I might have to try!

If you’re willing to put more time in I am obsessed with my Rex begonias. Also my purple passion plant! Agreed syngonium and aglaonema, my favorites

I heard the rex varieties were a bit hard but honestly I shouldn't be so turned off given that I live in a humid subtropical area. I've actually been wanting to look into begonia after seeing a few!

I’ve just ordered three begonias because of you… I’m looking forward to this new kind of plant with gorgeous colors and patterns… TXS!

Yes! They are kinda finicky but if you keep the soil moist (at all times) and near a humidifier or in a cabinet they grow like crazy. I pump the light to mine but not all cultivars like super heavy light. My cane begonia riots in the sun. I’ll post a pic of one I got a few months ago so you can see the growth!

I tired to keep it next to the pothos for size comparison. (I have lost some foliage on the pothos though) her colors have really popped!

oh an try to keep moisture from accumulating on the leaves they are prone to mildew if not in a well ventilated area or water stays on the leaves too long. (Bottom water is preferred) I just water them with tap!
