Okay, so I have had this Monsteria propagation in the water for a WHILE now. It even opens up a new leaf recently. It is ready to be planted in soil, but I don’t have a pot for it, and a pole. How long can it stay in the water for?

It can stay in water pretty close to indefinitely. If you keep it in there for a long time, be sure to give it a little bit of hydro nutrients from time to time!

the longer it stays in water the higher the chances are of significant shock when you do transfer to soil, so do a bit a research about how to make the transition more successful when you are ready

How long have you had it in the water just out of curiosity?

July 11th it was cut from its momma and put in a jar of water.

I would only take it out if it shows signs it doesn’t like it- yellowing leaves or blackening roots. I’ve had my cutting in water all summer too because I don’t have the right sized pot!
