My new kitten Nancy is so playful and when she notices the leaves of corn plant move she wants to eat them! I’ve been tryna figure out how to stop her because they’ll make her sick if she ingests them. Google says to try diluted white vinegar but I’m worried it’ll damage the leaves. I’ve already put black pepper over the soil of all my plants and that works but I don’t really want to have pepper all over the leaves too ahah. Anyone have any suggestions? 😫

What's your diluation ratio? I want to clean the leaves of a few of my plants, but there's so many different ones on Google; it gets confusing. 🧡

my suggestion is to spend some extra time playing with her with specific toys she likes so she will know that’s what she’s supposed to play with instead, i think that’s how i got my kitten to not be interested in my plants.

Yeah she loves her toys and I play with her a lot but she’s only 9 weeks old and wants to play pretty much ALL the time 😂 so whilst I’m cooking dinner or using the bathroom she’s always tryna find something that moves to play with and the plants move in a way she loves 😭. I’ve put foil on the windowsills where she would get up to eat the plant and that’s stopped her for now. But I’ve got her interested in her toy ball now and that seems to be doing the trick but time will tell

Your new kitten is so cute 🥰 and vinegar is perfectly fine 😊 I use it a bit when I water my plants to stop fungus gnats and is an excellent leaf shine 🤭 I really can’t get over your kitty

Ahh she is a proper cutie! I let her get away with anything. She hurt my partner jumping on his back the other day and I said “well she’s just a baby princess angel she doesn’t know!!”

Two words: cat grass. Give her a plant she’s allowed to eat and put it elsewhere. If she tries to eat the dracaena, gently move her over to the cat grass. But honestly, it’s hard to guarantee she won’t eat them in a naughty moment. I would consider keeping that plant in a room she can’t access.

Yeah I put some foil on the windowsills where she can climb up to play with the dracaena and it seems to be doing the trick for now till i deem that she’s lost interest in it for certain. I live in a studio apartment so there’s no other room it could go in 😭. I’ll get rid of it if she keeps trying but the foil and her toys seem to be doing the trick for now
