So nice to see someone else with this plant! The flowers are really unique. Mine recently started blooming as well. I think it’s their leaves that I love the most, though. Here’s a tip: if you want the undersides of the leaves to be a brighter color, putting mine in a south-facing windowsill that gets 6-8 hours of sunlight did the trick. Yours looks great so far! Good luck with it! 😊 (And as another tip, I’ve spotted a few of this type of lipstick plant at my local Lowe’s lately, including in the clearance section. If you don’t mind rehabbing a plant a little, that’s a cheaper way to make your plant fuller in less time.)

Why, thank you ☺️ I can’t take too much credit for her, though. I went to The Rhoads Garden in North Wales, PA, and they had pretty large ones in 3-in pots for $7! I bought two and combined them to form the one pictured 😊 I’ve learned from mine that they enjoy being in a well-draining mix, so I repotted mine with Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix, and I water mine every 12-14 days (typically 12 in the warmer months, and I’ll be pushing it back to 14 in the cooler months by the end of this month). I’ve also learned that they tend to grow a little faster if they’re more snug in their pots, so while they both came in 3-in pots, when I combined them, I used one of the 3-in pots they came in and made sure the pot was no more than 1-2 inches wider in diameter than the width of the combined plant’s root ball. I’ve read keeping them more rootbound can help them produce blooms too.
