Tell me about your "stupid" hobby nemesis. Not the pest or the crispy leaves...but the really stupid thing that bothers you. Mine: 🟢 Cords. I hate cords. I spend an obscene amount of time trying to hide cords. Like, I need to find right angle T5 connectors that will allow me to better hide those cords. 🟢 Nursery liners that you can see in the cover pot. I want them to fit perfectly....but still be able to get it out easily for watering and root check. GO! What is yours?

Mine is when taking pictures of my plants it must be perfect! Nothing can be in the picture that doesn’t belong, background matters, lighting has to be right. Everything must look good and show the best of the plant.

When you buy a plant and you have a perfect spot but you forget it needs light. So you have to move it to the window that already has about 500 plants gathered together.

      How does that always happen?

Cords!! I hate getting a set of lights that only come with a small number of the connector length I need. Then, not being able to buy more from the same brand separately!

YES CORDS! I have mostly succulents so every level of every stand has a grow light. I have become a zip tie expert. But just recently have bought several new Sansi lights that will reduce cords on many of my shelves by 75%. From four lights to one and brighter light. This should help my cord frustration.

My zip tie game is on point as well. I hope your new lights ease the cord anxiety!!!

And yes on nursery pot liners. I gave up on trying that. I would have a zillion nursery pots and none would fit the planter I wanted to use. I just plant directly into the planters. I am extremely picky about the pots so I want them looking good.

You rebel! I am in the process of upgrading pots as I can....I have a certain esthetic in mind. Nice to know I am not alone in the frustration.

Because of these two guys, I can’t display my plants in the way that they deserve. They are semi-crammed on the high plant shelf and not on end tables, etc., like I envisioned. 😕🪴

I feel ya...This one ate a very special.plant a few weeks ago and I am not sure the plant will recover. Good thing the cats are so cute or we may have to rethink the whole darn thing. What are your fur babies' names?

Aw.. what a beauty! Sorry about your plant though and glad to know my cats aren’t the only ones! Lenni and Theo.. of course the orange boy is the bigger offender. 🌞

I have an orange one too (actually, I have 6 total). Gotta watch those gingers!!! They look all innocent and such, but we know the truth!

He had the audacity at 3 AM to look at me like hey why are you up? I don’t know what this is here……

I am right with you on nursery pots needing to fit perfectly! My Sansevieria fits as perfectly into its pot as possible

Looks good! I have one cover pot that is too small and the liner is way above....driving me nuts.

Changing seasons in the greenhouse. I keep misjudging the temperature change and either roasting or freezing my plants

I don't have a greenhouse, but I could imagine how frustrating that is!

When you save every nursery pot you’ve ever had but somehow don’t have one that’s quite the right size for the plant you’re repotting, so you have to buy a new pot just for that one…only for it to be seemingly impossible to find a pot at the stores and nurseries that fit your damn plant 🙃 (I still don’t like the pot I got my Shady Lady Mae Goldfish Plant, but until I find a better one, that’s what she’s gonna be in. Still browsing the pots at every store that sells pots since I got her 😅)

Oh yeah also when you have a really cute cover pot that would look so great with your plant but it doesn’t fit the pot for said plant. Bonus points if it fits width-wise, but the plant’s pot is a LITTLE taller than the cover pot. Or when you have trailing plants but all your cover pots are a little too tall for them, so they sink into the cover pot if you try plopping it into one. No cute pot for them. 🙃
