So I’m very new when it comes to plants I planted some flowers over the summer that ended up dying and the soil has been sitting in the pot outside since then I need to plant some new plants that I’m propagating, do I need to buy fresh soil or can I just use the soil that I already have that’s been in the pots?

I’ve reused soil as long as the plant didn’t have any pests or diseases. I usually mix fresh soil in so it’s about 50%old soil and 50% new soil so there are still nutrients in it

I reuse soil all the time. Especially if whatever was in it wasn't in it for long. If you think the nutrients are toast, I go for babies suggestion of mixing old and new. I fertilizer when I repot, so I don't worry about it too much.
