There are three variations of these cactus One that blooms at Thanksgiving, one that blooms at Christmas and one that blooms at Easter If you Google Christmas cactus it will show you three variations of these and the differences between them. Most of it is the shape of the leaves as to their blooming cycle. However, there’s also differences in colors of the blooms. They range in color from red, purple and pink, yellow and white, orange, white and pink. There are many great references on the Internet .

I’ve got two of these, same variation as yours, the ones that bloom around November, and one is currently starting to bloom at my great-aunt’s place. The blooming can start early when it’s under similar conditions to the season they usually bloom during or in conditions similar to what you do to prepare it for blooming, so not a bad sign, but if the whole plant blooms now, it might not have the energy to do it twice in one year. For example, the one at my great-aunt’s place is in a colder, darker area at night, so it’s gotten more of the conditions suitable for preparing it to bloom, which is likely what’s causing hers to bloom before mine, despite being the same type and blooming the same time last year. Hope this helps!

I have a Thanksgiving cactus that starts blooming early November and is still putting out one bloom. Every year it blooms for about 4-5 months!

Mine too! When I had it in part shade window it would only put out a few blooms. This year in full sun southeast facing window it had full blooms from late October and has its last flower now.

Also, I pressed the beautiful pink flowers and will make coasters out of them. You can find DIY kits at target or Amazon
