Why are the roots fuzzy? ๐ฉ Tradescantia Pallida or Purple Queen?
They looking for moisture
3๊ฐ ์ข์์๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ but why does it have to be fuzzy? ๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅน๐คข Anything I can do besides more water... a bigger pot? More soil?
2๊ฐ ์ข์์If the roots are overcrowded in the pot, it may be time to repot and go up a pot size. But if these are just a couple of rogue roots searching for water (and the roots arenโt overcrowded in the pot in general) Iโd say you just leave them be. Is it okay to cut roots if theyโre unsightly? Lol idk the answer to that but maybe someone else on here knows.
2๊ฐ ์ข์์Yes you can cut the roots if you donโt like them. As Erin stated above, maybe pop the plant out and check the roots. If roots are good, the two roots sticking out the bottom just put back into the pot away from the drainage holes.

The roots are naturally fuzzy, the teeny โfuzzyโ bits are what actually draw in moisture, though itโs interesting that itโs this saturated on an exposed bit of root. Depending on the species it could be attempting to draw in moisture from the air

Purple queens love them some moisture so I would assume itโs just enjoying some humidity. Either repot if the roots are too crowded or if not crowded just let it be or cut them, up to you:)
