It only looks like male flowers growing amongst my watermelon plants, will that change?

    yes! typically male flowers grow first, and then females. almost all plants try to do this to stop self fertilization

    Sounds correct, my gourds produced only male flowers for around a month then started popping out females finally once each plant had multiple vines instead of just a small singular stalk. Now I have probably around 70/30 split with majority females. It’s just up to the growth level on the plant itself.

      So it’s now a waiting game for me lol..can’t wait to help them pollinate and see what comes out😊

      I only tried pollinating one flower and it didn’t work well, but look at all the fruits that I didn’t do anything to get

      I’m still at this stage..about to put my trellis up soon.

      My trellis just broke during the hurricane that split in the gulf 😭😭😭 now I have a pile of vines on some rubble to sort through
