Old man cactuses. I was watering these two cactuses that I got from Walmart. I thought there was webbing on the bottom of them. So I went to go pool and noticed that it was roots. As of right now I don’t have any gloves to be able to move these into a different pot. Does anyone have any good glove recommendations?. And what size pot should I move these to? (the second picture of roots. Is the cactus with less hair)

I use newspaper and twist it into a rope then wrap it around the cactus and twist the ends together to hold onto & I found very cheap Chinese gardening gloves that came in a pack of 12 on Amazon and they work great. Don’t waste money on ā€œcactus glovesā€ that don’t work.

Don’t go wider than an inch or two around the plant when getting a pot. Clay terracotta pots are the best because they don’t like wet soil and just get a bag of cactus mix and add some pumice for better drainage. During winter I only water once a month but in spring I increase it to twice a month. I put them all in a tray and bottom water. They are very nice plants and don’t require much fuss 🌵😊
