Old man cactuses. I was watering these two cactuses that I got from Walmart. I thought there was webbing on the bottom of them. So I went to go pool and noticed that it was roots. As of right now I don’t have any gloves to be able to move these into a different pot. Does anyone have any good glove recommendations?. And what size pot should I move these to? (the second picture of roots. Is the cactus with less hair)

I use newspaper and twist it into a rope then wrap it around the cactus and twist the ends together to hold onto & I found very cheap Chinese gardening gloves that came in a pack of 12 on Amazon and they work great. Don’t waste money on “cactus gloves” that don’t work.

Don’t go wider than an inch or two around the plant when getting a pot. Clay terracotta pots are the best because they don’t like wet soil and just get a bag of cactus mix and add some pumice for better drainage. During winter I only water once a month but in spring I increase it to twice a month. I put them all in a tray and bottom water. They are very nice plants and don’t require much fuss 🌵😊
