Little Tree

Left my little pilea peperomiodes for a week and it’s dropping like crazy, but worried I overwatered! From the photo can anyone tell what I did wrong or how to fix the little guy? TIA šŸ™šŸ¼

Always prop your plants when you get one. That way you never lose your plants. Maybe remove all the soil and check to roots. Also, the soil doesn’t look very airy. Maybe get some new soil to repot

Really hard to tell what went wrong without knowing the conditions or any more information. What I can tell you is that this is not a peperomia. This is a pilea peperomiodes

Maybe that’s where I have gone wrong 🤣🤣🤣 it was a bigger plant, I left for 2 months and my fiancĆ© left for 3 weeks at the end of that and it basically died …. I tried growing it back from a few babies but then it just started to constantly droop…. I might have overwatered. It’s currently sitting on a window seal that gets sun most of day but only a little harsh direct light

Oh gosh this is such an iffy situation. It does look overwatered from how light its color is. It seems the location you have it in getting lots of natural light is helping to keep it alive while the root system is weak. It definitely needs better soil and a smaller pot but I’m not even sure that I would remove it from the pot it’s in just yet. Kinda wish I was there with you so we could figure it out šŸ˜‚

Oh you’re the sweetest. Yeah I went to take it out when repotting the others today but decided not to yet…. I’m thinking to maybe just let it dry out for a few days then lift it to see what the root system looks like ….. you think it needs a smaller pot? Did you see the progress photos in above comment

Yes I did. Yeah I can see myself possibly waiting on this one. It’s been there the whole time waiting for you and wants to live. I do think it needs a smaller pot now but in the meantime try to prop it up with a stone or anything you can find to help it stand up a bit.

Soil is dry but it looks even worse now šŸ˜… i’m afraid to repot it cause it’s so easy for them to all break

Does this plantar have drainage holes. It’s very important to have drainage otherwise the roots can rot.

Yes it does, maybe it’s not draining well enough though as it’s very small

You might want to re pot with fresh soil. These plants are very finicky And prone to pests. I’m having difficulty with my plant too. It’s droopy as well. Following your post to learn more. I killed two of these plants. My other plants are all doing well.

Yeah mine did well for a while but then I left for 2 months and my fiancĆ© was gone for 3 weeks so it suffered…. I brought it back from the babies but now it’s not doing well again …. Waiting to let it dry out and then I’ll give it all new soil
