Does anyone know what this plant is? My m-i-l gave it to me as almost a dead twig. It has grown and thrived since I got it but I don’t know what it is or how wit is suppose to look. *Pictures of what it is suppose to look like would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏼
Purple heart or purple queen is what I have come up with. It used to be called wandering Jew.
Tradescantia. There are many varieties. It could be Tradescantia Pallida ‘Purple Heart,’ as mentioned above. It could be ‘Pale Puma.’ They darken in the sun. They love full sun and thrive in it once acclimatized. They are ground covers spreading by creeping. So, they will dangle off a pot.
2 Me gusta The more I look at my old photos the more I’m convinced it’s a Purple Heart that needs more sunlight. These are all from the same mother plant.
My tradescantia, colors reverted to green since it's getting warmer on my location now. Not sure if they're same or cousins, lol. Just fyi, did you know they don't like water on their leaves? Which gets tricky on mine when she's this bushy. Very amazing and easy plant to care for.
Purple heart for sure. There is a bunch of different type in the family. They start really easy if you want to make it fuller you can clip and pop right back in the soil and it will grow. Goid luck and enjoy
Sunny is right the more sunlight the better it will look

I think it’s a type of wandering Jew. Mine isn’t in full sun for very long so is still relatively green
