Can someone give me tips on how to properly repot plants from their nursery pots from the store? I got some plants that were extremely rootbound & in extremely compact and moist soil that wouldn’t do well in my home. One plant i soaked to remove the soil and the others I just left their nursery soil and put in a bigger pot with new soil.. The plants i soaked shriveled up and look pretty stressed and the others are doing fine right now but in the past I had them get root rot/had pest :(

I am no plant expert, I literally just shake loose the roots, put some new soil in the new pot, throw some fertilizer sticks in and water. 100% of the time it’s worked so far. I didn’t think to much about it.

There are videos on YouTube where they talk about how to repot your succulents from nursery pots, just do a search. Good luck 🍀

For succulents like Haworthias, I remove all the soil, repot them using bonsai jack gritty mix soil, and water only when the soil becomes dry. Mine all seem to be happy.
