I’m just about done with this Calathea Roseopicta. I bought her last September from a big box store thinking she would be easy to care for. I went on a vacation in March and my husband forgot to water her so she got very dry. She lost most of her leaves. I tried nursing her back to health, but she still wasn’t thriving so last month I repotted her. Now she has only five leaves. I checked the care info and she’s in a great location, she’s on a good watering schedule, and I fertilize her as instructed. I don’t get it. Is this a hard plant to care for?

Hi! I had difficulties as well until I decided to repot in a self watering pot. Since then I have had zero issues. Give this a try if you can.

I’m no expert but the leaves that are there still look beautiful.

if you aren't already, water her with distilled water. calathea's are very, very fussy.
