Help! I think my pothos is dying. I just repotted them in new soil. The roots were extremely dry. It’s now day 3 in their new pots but doesn’t seem to be bouncing back to their normal selves. Any advice to save?? Thinking to maybe propagate in water. Side note, the healthy one just got potted from water.

Honestly if it were me I’d cut it & reroot . That’s just me though hope there is more feedback for you . 🙂 there are a couple good looking leaves up top so you could prop those stems for sure. The rest of the leaves I don’t think will bounce back .

My rule of thumb is to propagate in water when leaves look like this on my Pothos 😊 then transition them back to soil

I Agee! Propagate what you can in water.

I had a similar experience but I believe mine was because I cut the roots and sadly it didn’t bounce back. I ended up getting a new one. I had a long vine too.

Three days is not long enough to wait for a plant that has gone through two levels of stress. It was extremely dried out causing the first stress. Repotting is the second stress because it disturbed the root system especially the fine hair like roots in the soil that help to take in more water. So, the plant has to overcome these obstacles. I recommend: - Wait a week before cutting off more vines. This gives the plant a chance to adjust. It may lose a couple of leaves as it adjusts. - Add 50% diluted fertilizer to the soil and feed twice a month until winter. (Then, feed once a month until spring.) - Important: Move to a location with bright indirect light or add a grow light within a foot of the plant and run it 10 hrs a day. This will get the plant happy and generating more roots. 🍀🪴
