Any tips for dealing with spiders around houseplants? Not spider mites I’ve seen them there is a several small spiders in my apartment and they are starting to create webs around my plants. I don’t like spiders and would prefer if they weren’t inside at all but especially not around my plants that I am constantly monitoring and checking on.

I move them outside by tying an old t-shirt to the end of the broom or a stick and picking up the spiders and webs onto the t-shirt. I throw the t-shirt far away on a tree branch. The spiders scatter to get out of the sun. You can use paper towels and dispose of it. I don’t do this with spiders like brown recluse. I immediately use insecticide on those. Their bites are irritating and they like to climb into shoes!

They are just little baby spiders and as much as I don’t like spiders they are just kind of annoying. Brown recluses are definitely spiders I don’t mess with. Those get no mercy from me inside or outside the house. I just at the same time don’t want to get and rid of something that is part of the environment because of my own fears which I why I don’t want to kill all of the little ones around my plants. I just don’t want them on my plants.
