Hiii, i jsut received my first tissue cultures today and am wondering what media i should use when i pot them. Any suggestions? I have a monstera, caladium, and fiddle fig.

    Nice! They have different needs as mature plants, so I’d assume their TC needs would be different too. For the monstera (and probably the caladium), you can use a 50/50 mix of sphagnum moss and perlite. I didn’t even know they had FLF TCs 😅, but as mature plants, they don’t prefer the constant moisture like monsteras and caladiums, so I’d guess maybe soil and perlite would be better for that. I’ll let someone who’s more well-versed in TCs jump in and correct me if I’m wrong. 🤪 The big thing is making sure to wash off all the agar before potting!

    I hiiiighly suggest Fluval!!! It’s my go to for everything now. I used to used the soil pods and it just was too wishy washy for me. Fluval on the other hand has worked out AMAZINGLY and I’ve switched my TC’s that I started in the soil pods, straight to fluval because I was getting so discouraged with some doing “okay” to some failing all together
