I don’t have any in semi-hydro but I’ve heard that lots of people love keeping their syngoniums in pon/leca. I also don’t own an alocasia but I think they would do well with the added moisture

0개 좋아요My syngonium is small — just cuttings from a friend in March — but it’s going quite well in leca. I’ve heard/seen alocasia *really* thrive in semi-hydro Be VERY gentle with the alocasia on the transfer. The roots are very delicate. You very well might lose a leaf or two in the transfer but if you ride it out I think it will be worth it moving forward

0개 좋아요I moved all my alocasias to fluval stratum and it’s going great! Eatyacarbs is right- losing a leaf or two is pretty typical when transferring. I also have some philodendron el choco and melanochrysum babies in stratum and they’re loving it too!

Ooh I have some fluval as well.. maybe I’ll pretend I’m doing an experiment for a science fair and put one in each medium and see which ones live!!

Needless to say the corm has show much more significant growth than when it was in soil. I plan on moving all of my alos to leca and I do want to try pon
