I’ve had this Aloe Vera plant for roughly 1.5 years from a garden centre near me called Bents, I repotted it after 6 months because it got too big for its pot it came in but after doing that the stems decided to go limp, and rot at the bottom, I took it out to check any root rot which there wasn’t any so I decided to make it smaller and manageable and put it in a small pot. I would love some advice on aloe Vera care and what I can do to get it back to its fully glory and it looking mature.

    Whenever there’s root rot and some leaf loss after repotting there’s usually two things that cause it. The most common is watering too often. Aloe need water when the soil is dry and the leaves feel a bit less firm. The other common issue is a pot too big and then the bottom roots can’t soak up everything at the bottom and drown in it.

      Do you think the pot it is in now is okay for it to grow in until it’s too big for the pot?

    They like to be slightly root bound. Let them dry out completely before watering. Don’t forget good amount of light too. 🪴

      I think so just water it only when it’s all dry keep in mind that it has shallow roots so the bottom third might still be wet. Best is to dip a wooden stick to check the moisture or buy a moisture meter.
