    flowerpot parasol! gets everyone eventually. not harmful to the plant but definitely don't eat it. would remove it if you have furry friends or small children

  3. Plant Lives Matter

    Well yes, it is a fungus. It wonโ€™t hurt the plant. However, you might consider watering less often. A fungus wouldnโ€™t normally thrive in the conditions ponytail palms prefer. Ponytail palms are succulents and prefer the soil to dry out or else it could lead to root rot. I actually wait until the caudex itself starts to shrivel a little.
