Now for the answers! 1. I would say the biggest reason is I saw a lot of other people I know start getting into houseplants, so I decided to get a few. (Look where that got me...) 2. My favorite part is finally getting a new leaf, or getting a new plant. 3. Pests. 4. Probably my monstera thai.. 5. My end goal is to get 150+! 6. It may surprise some, but I started crocheting not too long ago. 7. I know this is kinda strange, but my favorite is probably my toolbox... I got it with my grandpa so it has good memories, and it's so useful!

    1. I had a few plants (an orchid & thanksgiving cactus) but I was gifted a classic green monstera for my birthday. As this was a gift from a woman I’ve known since she was about 12 I was highly motivated to keep it alive! It spiraled from there 😂 (the gifted monstera is alive & well) 2. My favorite part is the new growth, followed closely by the flowers. 3. Ugh fungus gnats (and other gross bugs)! 4. My most sentimental plant is my thanksgiving cactus, she’s a cutting from my late Grandmother’s plant. And my favorite is probably my tephrocactus geometricus. 5. I don’t think I have a goal count or collection. I do want to ultimately create a nice display with my three holiday cactuses; ideally in my living room. 6. Knitting, crochet, sewing, reading. 7. A dedicated craft room. 🧶

1: my mom is a certified nurseryman and because of her I've pretty much been a plant person from birth. 2: i really like learning about the science of how different plants grow and interact with animals. And the subtle glittery sheen that plants often get when they're especially healthy. 3: summer heat and mosquitoes. 4: i have a variegated english oak tree that I pretty much view as a family member. Unfortunately its graft has reverted, but I'm trying to restart the variegation via cuttings/redoing the graft on its offspring. As for indoor plants, i have really been enjoying my micro orchids. 5: if i ever get a chance, I'd love to start up an orchidarium or native species arboretum. In the meantime, I'm planning an orchid terrarium and trying to plant things outside to attract cool moths. 6: i enjoy collecting things and nature photography. 7: some custom lego sith minifigures. They're just so cute
