Is it stealing if its a public bush? Im in Cali on vacation, and there are bushes of Jade Plants along the public sidewalk. Do you think i would be able take a piece back home or is that theft?

    Do you just pop that on in some water with jade? I just got a jade plant and was gonna trim back but have no experience with them.

      After cutting let it callous over to try and avoid rot, then add in water to grow roots. But i will actually be just putting it into soil and it should also grow roots

    Public planters and bushes are how I got all of my tradescantias lol, I figure especially since they just get thrown out before the winter that it doesn’t matter

    If in doubt, find somebody who manages the landscaping and ask. Usually it's fine, but it may prevent a maintenance person from being confused about mysterious plant cuts and you might make a friend who can get you landscaping leftovers
