Hi! Question for any of the high schoolers (or middle schoolers?) on the app. I am designing a set of plant themed stickers (10) and want to get a better idea of what would be appealing. I want them to be something fun and attractive and generally not cheesy. Any feedback welcomed! These are not my designs but inspo. Thank you !!

No problem at all! I dont think I learned until a few years ago and i’m late 20’s. Horticulture is basically the study of plants and plant life :)

I would love to see more with more interesting plants! I love the monstera but maybe some with alocasia or other cool plants would make it less cheesy!

As a high schooler and graphic designer I would say do some popular plants that don’t get much love from sticker designs. Monsteras are everywhere, but Hoyas? Not so much! Pothos, ficus, jade plants, calatheas, and caladiums are all beautiful plants that you don’t see very often. As an aside, doing a living stone with the text “pet rock” under it would be very cute. I would say if you want to appeal to plant people, stay away from the plants that are overdone like cacti and flowers. You can get those stickers anywhere, but there are tons of popular plants you don’t see many stickers of. This is totally a personal preference btw, but I like stickers that actually look like a specific plant variety. Less “ambiguous flower”, more “oh those are African violets!” You know? Also to avoid being cheesy stay away from plant themes puns. Go with something more creative, like a joke about the plant itself, not just a play on words, or avoid text all together. Alternatively you could add the name of the plant to the design. Good luck with your sticker designing! Can’t wait to see what you come up with :)
