Anyone know how often I should use a mister? And for how long? TIA!
Anyone know how often I should use a mister? And for how long? TIA!
I had mine on 24 hours a day and I got gnats so please don’t do that. I would recommend maybe 6-8 hours a day when it’s light outside
1 me gustaHow close does the mister have to be to the plants??
0 Me gustaIt’s a pretty small mister so maybe a foot away
1 me gustaI have a large room size humidifier running 24/7 next to my needy plants. During cold months, I add another. Get yourself a hygrometer. Use that to better gage what you need. It also depends where you live and whether or not you use A/C.

0 Me gustaDoes having ac mean more frequent or less frequent misting /watering ?
1 me gustaA/C dehumidifies as it cools. The more you run it, the less moisture in the air. So you need to mist more frequently and probably need to water a little more often. Most of my needy plants are in the dining room at large windows so I have shut the vent to that room and closed the one door. There is still a large arch opening into the room but it helps. As for misting, it doesn’t really add more humidity except for a few minutes. I mist to keep spider mites away.
0 Me gustaI’m also going to be blunt and tell you that little humidifier is too small to help increase the air moisture. Mine can’t even raise much with my A/C blasting away. Maybe increasing about 15 to 20 percent. It needs a complete refill every day. It holds 6 liters.
