The jade plant is a crassula. But they generally have much flatter leaves and woody type stems

Yea, some of the "identifiers" really go on leaf shape and color alone. They're basically taking the picture and finding another 2-d pic that lays over it and looks the same. They can't really take into account depth and texture. So there's always going to be some mis identification, especially if there is some outlier lookin plant too
