Does anyone know if there is a way to manually set the watering schedule in this app? The recommendations here leave my calatheas chronically underwatered and they're starting to get crispy because of it.

The app is really a suggestion. A reminder. If you do water the plant before the scheduled watering you can put that into the app and it will update your watering schedule.
2 LikesThank you for the response. I know I can update manually, but with 120+ houseplants I need the app to keep track of who is due to be checked. It tends to underwater the calatheas. Someone else in the thread below showed me how to change the suggested frequency in the app. 🙂
2 LikesMake sure your settings are also correct as far as pot size, plant size, distance to window, heat, AC as all of those variables go into the recommendations

1 LikeIf you go into the plants settings you’ll see a watering schedule, click that and then you can set watering/fert intervals.
4 LikesThank you!! I was trying to figure this out for myself also. There is a “custom” settings area I hadn’t known about. Much appreciated. Makes me like the app that much more. 🙂
3 LikesPerfect. Thank you.
1 LikeGreat question! Thanks for asking it!! It helped me also.
2 LikesI don’t really follow planta’s watering schedule even if I set my own. I always wait a week and use a wooden skewer or my finger to check if the soil is moist/dry.
2 LikesI have too many plants to do it this way. I use the app to remind me what is happening with what plant. I still check them manually before I actually water (I have a moisture meter) to make sure they don't get over watered, but I rely on the app to keep track of when someone is due to get checked.
1 LikeI ignore the plants watering schedule and ask my plants. I can look at them and then pick them up. If they look a bit shriveled in the leaf or they are light as a feather, they need to be soaked and have it drain out. I usually catch the water in a basin and pour it back over the dirt at least once before the final drain and back they go in their spot.
0 LikesI have more than 100 houseplants, so this really isn't an option because it's too time consuming.
