Hey! So I live in the tropical climate. Winters are usually mild but it's dryer than I'd like for my alocasia. I was doing some reading on how to keep it more humid during the colder months and when it gets cold enough I'll definitely be bringing it inside more. At the time being I'm just bringing it inside at night and putting it outside during the day I'm looking for a good way to ensure humidity when I have a balcony. I was reading a bit on like pebble trays or a clear case to simulate a greenhouse effect but doesn't it have to be warm for that effect? Advice is appreciated!

Pebble trays don’t tend to really emit remotely enough humidity to aid a plant (but I’m aware it’s frequently offered as advice). Placing it in a clear case or cabinet, even without a humidifier, is gonna give it more humidity than a pebble tray ever will. If you’re not gonna add a humidifier to it, try to only open it when watering to help it keep as much humidity it can accumulate on its own in the case as possible. Hope this helps. 👍

I agree, you’ll have better luck with a clear case …. You can even add a couple other plants in there and they will help keep each other humid

This is what I have my begonia in! And it keeps pretty humid just with the one plant in it. Every now and then I’ll open the door to let some airflow in. It’s been working great! But depends how big your alocasia is I guess 🤷‍♀️
